Dirty Portable Restroom?

We go out of our way to provide CLEAN restrooms.

They arrive clean, and we clean them either weekly for ongoing units, or as requested by events. When we leave, they smell good, look good, and are nice to use. 99% of the time, WE are not at fault! Yes, we are human, so we do make mistakes, but most often it is not us.

Here are the top five reasons portable restrooms get NASTY:

  1. Too many people on a job site – Did you know OSHA’s requirement is one portable per ten people working a 40 hour week? If you have more than 10, you can expect the unit to get nasty!
  2. Unit was blocked for service – did you know that we need to get within 25’ of the restroom in order to pump it out? If someone puts stuff in our way we cannot get to it.
  3. Too many attendees – did you know that we make recommendations for the number of units an event should provide? And, how much extra service/cleaning they should request? But, budgets often get in the way and restrooms are not usually a priority.
  4. Disrespect – did you know how often people do not use the facilities as intended? Graffiti, trash, drug paraphernalia and more are things we deal with every day.
  5. Haven’t paid their bill – did you know how often people neglect to pay their invoices? We cannot work for free, so we give them a couple of weeks to rectify it, but we do stop service when we have to.

So, if you find a dirty portable restroom like the ones we have on our Wall of Shame, find the person that rented it and let them know they need to make a change! Add units or service!

What do we do to combat these issues?

  1. We train our drivers and retrain if necessary
  2. We have software that requires our guys to take pictures after each service to guarantee clean units
  3. We do physical route audits to check in person
  4. We make recommendations about unit counts and service
  5. We invest in really good products that help
